Luciano Spalletti was interviewed by Premium Sport after the win against Crotone stating that: “Today it was not an easy match. Our players were very good to adapt to something different which showed in our attitude, 30 degrees, a very dry pitch, the strong wind in the first half and a very slow match. Crotone is used to throwing long balls and Budimir is perfect for this type of match. After the 2-0? After the first goal, I didn’t celebrate. After the second goal, I stuck my tongue out to the co-workers, I did not do any ugly gesture to no one.”

“The standings are not important. There is still a long way to go as 34 matches are left and we must try to win as many as possible of them. With a different result, Eder would have been brought on. Our intentions must be like this,  we must not impress ourselves with positive or negative situations. We should have been faster in the creative phase. Crotone tried to tie the match in the middle of the pitch. We were three against two in midfield, we would have insisted there and then go out on to the wing. Little quality but the personality was all there. Skriniar? I’ve already said it, he is an outstanding footballer, perfect, always concentrated, good with the ball and very physical. A player I’ve known and I trust”.
