SempreInter.com Player Ratings – Crotone 0 – 2 Inter: Handanovic to the rescue as Inter go top

In the afternoon Satuday fixture, Inter didnt wilt under the heat at the Ezio Scida. Grit and determination was the difference as Inter notched up their 4th win in a row on their way to the top of Serie A. It was not pretty for most of the 90 mins today, lets see how our players and coach fared

Samir Handanovic – 7.5  Didn’t enjoy the sunlight in his eyes at the beginning, but his miraculous saves are why we are top of the league tonight. Unbeatable today.

Danilo D’Ambrosio – 6.5 Defensively solid as usual. We know he wont be of much use upfront but ensures that his side isnt a highway for opposing wingers. Decent.

Milan Skriniar – 7 Hit the cross-bar against SPAL, his determination got us the goal and the victory today. Beaten only once in 4 games for Inter. Formidable.

Joao Miranda – 6.5  Like Skriniar he got beat once today, but Handanovic bailed him out, kept fighting and mostly won the physical and tactical battle against Crotone.

Dalbert – 5.5  A couple of good attacking runs and usual defensive interceptions, but still lacks that understanding with Perisic going forward. 2 steps back today.

Borja Valero – 6 Tiredness towards the end of the game, but he didn’t gamble enough in the game to get us that breakthrough. His experience is invaluable.

Roberto Gagliardini – 5.5  He has the class of an experienced midfielder. Not as good as he was against SPAL but was heavily marked and pressed throughout.

Antonio Candreva – 5.5  Didn’t have as much of the ball as he usually does, but apart from a couple of good attacking runs I do not remember him giving Crotone trouble.

Joao Mario – 6.5 As against SPAL he started to tire out around the 60th minute. Should have scored today but in the end he assisted Perisic to seal the 3 points.

Ivan Perisic – 7 When the going gets tough, the tough get going. Ivan is tough as nails and battled away all game and finally got the reward with a gritty goal.

Mauro Icardi – 5.5 We didn’t create much in the first half, but Mauro was not his usual self today. Fluffed the only oppurtunity he really got. Needs to forget this.

Matias Vecino – 6 Brought calm into the midfield and allowed Valero to push further forward. He locked his side of the pitch down and got the basics right.

Yuto Nagatomo – 6.5 Great impact from the bench. Added that spark in attack at the expense of some defensive solidarity but played a major part in the win today.

Andrea Rannochia – SV First appearance of the season had a couple of clearances and a header but that was it. Not much to write about.

Luciano Spalletti – 5.5 The mentality change that Luciano is bringing is visible but the attacking play overall today was woeful. Our worst game this season.

Luca Banti – 5 In my opinion the first half push on Gagliardini was a penalty and he should have consulted the VAR, got the easy ones right though.

Inter – 6: We wasted the first 45, a lot of work needs to be done. But its nice to see us win ugly again, reminds me of the 2015/16 start under Mancini

Do you think Gagliardini was better than a 5.5? Do you think Miranda played better than Skriniar? Let us know below in the comments or hit us up on Twitter or Facebook.
