A week ago Inter looked like title contenders, now they don’t. Gazzetta dello Sport are of the opinion that Inter will soon start to pay for Suning’s ‘blackout’ at the end of the mercato that left them short of central defenders and a star midfielder. The blackout caused Inter to miss out on Patrik Schick and Emre Mor among others and effectively threw Inter Technical Coordinator Walter Sabatini and Inter Sporting Director Piero Ausilio’s work right out the window. If there is no budget made available in January, it will take a miracle for Inter to stay competing at the top.
