Interviewed exclusively by Sportitalia, Massimo Moratti spoke of various topics with regards to Inter. Waiting for the interim version of the interview with the former Nerazzurri patron (tomorrow from 7.30 pm), here are some extracts:

On the possible return to the board: “Without a doubt I miss being a president. You have a different adrenaline when you have such a role. However, I have no intention of repurchasing Thohir’s shares as someone said, because I already had them and sold them. It would be absurd.”

On the start of Inter’s season: “I think Inter is well off because of the coach and the good players there are. Now you have to keep this continuity; that is the easiest thing, without falling apart if there are no stupid matches. We must achieve speed in the game. You always have to think that you can win the Scudetto because it allows you to get as high as possible. ”

On coach Luciano Spalletti: “He has all the qualities to be a winning coach with Inter because he has never won much in Italy despite having great qualities and therefore there is also this ambition on his part. He has a strong character, is analytical and attentive.

“Spalletti has a different character from Mourinho and Mancini and has a different way to play. Roma played well with Spalletti and I think I can also give Inter that kind of game.”

On VAR (Video Assistant Referee) being used in Italy: “In general it is a positive introduction, given that in 90% of cases it makes the right decision, but takes away much emotion and it stops the game dead. It’s something you need to get used to. It certainly removes a matter of argument that was the referee. “
