The Corriere dello Sport suggests a change in tactics for Inter “Playing nobody behind Icardi was convincing but Spalletti’s isn’t totally sold & his latest idea is to put Perisic in that role.”
“This is an option expressed by Spalletti himself after the Genoa game: “We probably don’t have the right type of player to play in that role of the trequartista who creates problems in the opposition lines & can beat one or two players at close quarters, I say probably because we have Perisic & he could potentially play that role. I’m curious to see what he can do in that position because he is one player who can be quick on the ball & beat a man or two in tight spaces.”
Shifting Perisic to the centre, keeping the two in midfield behind him, would probably open the door for Eder to play more of a role on the side. Spalletti is a firm believer in one philosophy & does not shift on it & that is: Balance. He sees Eder as a player to use during a game to change the pace of a game in those more complicated situations, just like he did aganist Genoa on Sunday.”

Then he can’t save nagahomos a*s when you play him. I love when he runs
down the whole pitch and tackle, and then runs fckn counter-attack.
Mancini played him there when Perisic had just arrived in Italy and he did really bad (of course the perisic of today is a 100% better player than the newly arrived one back then).
I hope he stays on the left wing and we go for, let´s say 3-4-3 without an attacking mid, because Spalla is right: we don’t have an all-out attacking mid i the squad. But changing system to the 3-4-3 won’t happen because Spalla is a hard 4-2-3-1 believer!
Playing Perisic in the middle could create room for mario in his more “natural” role on the left wing, same role he plays for Portugal. He could drop in side from there and Perisic cut out side shaking things up…
He played 3-4-3 all of last season with Roma though.
Nah, he experimented with it for a lot of games – true, but he’s main system was 4-2-3-1. But at Roma he also had a player who knew how to play as a center back/right fullback which is wry important. And Ambrose could do the same but hasn’t got Rudiger’s flexibility and quality in both positions.
Rudiger was hot trash at RB though. Towards the end of the season that was the de facto formation that he used.
Yeah! Put Perisic as CAM and Nagatomo in LM :p
Then you’re being crazy because playing fia..
If you think that is something… I turned the last inform Perisic from a CAM to a ST. He is a world beater as a ST.
Bro, U rarely use Inter -___-
Please no. His biggest strength is his pace. He needs space to outrun his opponent and whip in a cross or finish. He is not good in small spaces. I’m actually 100% sure that this role is much better suited for Candreva who has a cracker of a shot, can dribble in small spaces and is doing bad on the right wing with his crossing. Candreva could use a change, Perišić is great at what he does.
Even if Candreva play as trequartista, he’ll cross to both sides first before he take a shot.
