Speaking to Premium Sport Fabio Cannavaro spoke about his beloved Napoli & the Serie A title contenders.
“Napoli have started well & have sent out a strong signal to the rest of the competition. In recent years they haven’t changed their squad that much apart from the sale of Higuain, & are a team that have delighted & entertained, but consistency is important & also to be able to finish well. I think that Sarri’s team & Juventus still have that little something more than the others at the moment, but I think Inter & Roma still might have something to say about where the scudetto ends up this season as they are both very well structured teams. In respect to last season the Nerazzurri seem to have gotten back on the right track & will be an added rival for the title.”

I don’t see this reported anywhere, but Cassano already said twice in an Italian tv show (one time at the beginning of the season, when people were laughing at him):
“Inter WILL win the scudetto this season”…period.
He is always a guest at the popular Italian football tv show “Tiki Taka” ( you can find it in youtube and maybe make out some of what Cassano is saying, in regards to Inter).
Now they are starting to take him a little more seriously..
He always brings the same two reasons, in support of his prediction :
1)
” Spalletti is the best Italian coach, together with another one, but he is coaching in London right now, so Spalletti is the best we have left in Serie A
He is the best motivator and he has the best physical training staff.
Spalletti will always get everything is possible to get out of his teams”.
2)
“Inter does not play the European Cups.
It was a huge advantage to Chelsea last season, to Leicester the season before, to Juventus 6 years ago, when they came back from 2 consecutive 7th places ,to dominate Serie A.
Spalletti knows how to use this advantage”
When asked :
“Inter is solid ,but what do you do about Juve and Napoli”?
He answers :
” Juve and Napoli are still probably the 2 strongest squads ,but, because of the 2 reasons above ,Inter will still prevail in the end, even if just by one or two points.”
