In the first ever Serie A fixture between Benevento and Inter, Marcelo Brozovic scored a brace within the first 15 minutes yet Inter somehow labored in the entire second half to come away with yet another 3 points. The attitude after going 2 goals up will no doubt make Luciano Spalletti angry.

Samir Handanovic – 5.5: Samir didn’t look calm enough today and by his high standards should have saved the goal. But his wingbacks really didn’t make things easy.

Danilo D’Ambrosio – 5: With DD you can be assured of the fact that atleast he will do his defensive bit. Unfortunately today he was poor and didn’t contribute in attack.

Milan Skriniar – 7: Only player that stood between a draw and 3 points, was tested with pace and left alone quite a bit but came out of the game unscathed.

Joao Miranda – 5.5: Didn’t look like an experienced veteran today. Some of it maybe was the pace they attacked at and some of it was the wingback on his side.

Yuto Nagatomo – 4.5: Just watch the replay of the goal we conceded. He left his man alone so many times and that late first half goal was exactly what we didn’t need.

Borja Valero – 5:  There is no doubting that he has a lot of class but his team-mates are on a different planet. Couldn’t make the game tick and didn’t dictate at all.

Matias Vecino – 6: Week in, week out he delivers like a proper box to box midfielder. Too bad everything around him especially going forward is so dour.

Antonio Candreva – 6: It isnt physically possible to repeat his game agaisnt Genoa, but Antonio was much better today in his play. Got an assist but it went downhill.

Marcelo Brozovic – 7.5: Epic first 25 mins. Fantastic move started and ended with that header. Also a great free kick to double the advantage. Not so epic 2nd half. Tired.

Ivan Perisic – 5: Ivan must have got up on the wrong side of the bed today, couldn’t get anything right until the 80th minute. Just that sort of a day.

Mauro Icardi – 5: Spalletti wanted him to be more involved in the play and come deeper. Invisible today and missed 1-2 half chances that we struggle to create.

Joao Mario – 5.5: Joao brought the impact again from the bench, this time on the right wing. Did well defensively and offensively but needs to be more decisive.

Roberto Gagliardini – 6: 15 mins of brute strength, almost perfect tactical play, great tackles and overall calmness. Just what Spalletti needed at that moment. Can he start?

Dalbert – SV: Not much of note but gave away the ball in the 95th minute needlessly. It was him reminding us that he is still raw and inexperienced.

Luciano Spalletti – 5: It was clear that Borja and Vecino needed some help in the 2nd half, waited till 80′. Cant get his attack to gel and click since August 26th.

Daniele Doveri – 6.5: Got most decisions right, but also got in between a lot of passes we made. His bookings were relatively straight forward.

Inter – 5.5: Conceding and showing poor attitude after being 2 up within the first quarter of the game, the mentality and attitude needs to be questioned.
