Argentina national team manager Jorge Sampaoli has revealed Mauro Icardi may not start the games with Peru and Ecuador due to an injury: “He arrived with a physical problem that he has been carrying since he played against Australia,” Sampaoli revealed at a press conference ahead of the game. He added “In the last games it was a hassle for him and for he has trained with a bit of pain. For this reason, in training we have seen that Benedetto will be the number 9 for us.”
The Albicelesete must win both of their final games to secure a playoff berth at the very least. They currently occupy the playoff spot on 24 points but Chile and Paraguay – with 23 and 21 points respectively – can still pip them to it if they are to fail to do as required.

it’s just an excuse made by the coach, to not play icardi and satisfied messi, but without hurt the argentina fans.
Honestly,I don’t quite understand …an injury is an injury.
It doesn’t allow you to run intensively like he does during every single Inter game for 90 minutes and even accelerate toward the end of the game.
What are we talking about here?
