Former Dinamo Zagreb and Yugoslavia National team striker, Slaven Zambata, has urged Inter winger Ivan Perisic and Juventus forward Mario Mandzukic to step up ahead of their final group games against Finland and Ukraine in the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.
In an interview with Sportske Novosti, he said: “It is up to them to work together and take us (Croatia) to the World Cup in Russia. These are their challenges alone. They must all show their qualities. I also think there will be a chance for Andrej Kramaric, he has a great future ahead of him as he is very talented.”

Hopefully this team can recreate the magic of the 1996-1998 squad
Our squad back then was a great mix of quality and emotion,we won a war for our independence just few years before the 1998 world cup and we were filled with pride going in to that WC Slaven Bilic played whole tournament on pain killers and destroyed his career cause of that but he didnt cared he wanted to represent his country that is why,in my opinion, we did so well then but today we maybe even have stronger squad on paper but i do not think we have that grit and pride to fight for our country anymore…
ya coz todays generation is all about facebook snapchat twitter etc
