Reports during the mercato and more recent reports following his sacking at Bayern Munich said Carlo Ancelotti blocked Arturo Vidal from joining Inter. The now unemployed Italian manager spoke on the sidelines of the National Literature Prize for football event to the media where he moved to rubbish the reports, “They [Inter] never asked for him.”
The Nerazzurri are understood to have went back in for the Chilean following Ancelotti’s sacking and believe it could be easier to acquire the former Juventus midfielder now that Ancelotti is no longer there.
