With the appointment of Jupp Heynckes as the new coach of Bayern Munich, Inter’s proposed move for the Chilean midfielder Arturo Vidal hits a new stumbling block.

The 72 year old German gaffer was appointed as an interim boss until the end of the season to replace Carlo Ancelotti who was sacked last week. He has already been charged with the task of rebuilding the team’s spirit, and Vidal is expected to play a key role in this aspect. Jupp Heynckes has been a long term admirer of the Chilean war horse and had tried to sign him back in 2013.

A move to the Nerazzurri this upcoming transfer window will be complicated, especially while Jupp Heynckes remains in charge. However things can change next summer when Bayern are expected to appoint their permanent managerial solution with Arturo Vidal’s contract with the Bavarian giants set to expire the following summer, namely June 30 2018.
