Inter captain Mauro Icardi was unused as Argentina were held today by Peru further stymied Argentina’s chances of qualifying for the World Cup. Wanda Nara, the wife of Mauro Icardi made some comments on his husband’s unusual absence:
“They are totally technical decision taken by the manager of the national team. I can’t comment on it. I am an Argentinian like you all and totally respect the decision of the manager. Being his wife and agent I will always want him to perform well.”
“Mauro and I are very good right now. I don’t know why people talk about us when they don’t know everything.”
Argentina are currently 6th in their group stage with 25 points from 17 games.

When they come out and say we can’t play dybala AND icardi because he’s incompatible with Messi… but dybala and icardi are probably the most dangerous combination in modern football. I understand Messi is fuoriclasse but it’s a team sport.

i would be curious to see how they play without him but to be honest he was the only one doing anything. how does this team manage to play like shit? just wow.
maybe just maybe they all depend on messi, they feel like spoiled to have him in the squad, making everything seems easier, just give ball to him and voila. to drop him maybe the best thing so making the squad feel really like a team, not depending just on one man
