Former Inter centre back Riccardo Ferri spoke to Il Giorno in the lead up to the Milan Derby on Sunday evening, “Milan are at a disadvantage to Inter as they are seven points behind them. The wingers of each will decide the outcome of the derby. Inter have a solid base and showcased that by keeping a hold of Ivan Perisic.”

Ferri also recalled some of the derbies he played in, “I did not exchange half a word with my national teammates like Franco Baresi and Paolo Maldini in the tunnel before the game. It was a sign of respect for one another’s concentration. Back then the games meant so much more than they do today. It was easier to explain the importance to a few foreign players but it has changed.”
