Inter manager Luciano Spalletti was full of praise for his opposite number at Sampdoria, Marco Giampaolo, ahead of the fixture between the two managers sides tomorrow night.
“He deserves all this attention [he is getting]. I would be Inter’s first season-ticket holder if Giampaolo was the coach,” he said. “He would be a guarantee and good for the club. He implements compactness and he is fussy when it comes to analysing matches. I’m luckier than him because I already have some of them among my staff.”
Spalletti’s words come after Giampaolo confessed that one day he would like to coach the Nerazzurri, the team he has supported since boyhood.
