Milan Skriniar broke the deadlock against his former paymasters Sampdoria at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza and stopped by Inter TV to share his thoughts on the win.

“I am very happy with my goal tonight. Out of respect for my former team, team-mates and fans I decided not to celebrate. I am happy with every goal and every win but I am not happy about how we almost let this win slip away at the end and about us conceding two goals. You can not let your opponents score like that when you are up by three goals, but this is football and these things happen. Now we move on and focus on the next game.”

The Slovakian international defender was asked in conclusion about that despite arriving to Inter in the summer he is already turning into a leader on the pitch: “We are all leaders and by talking to each other a lot we help the team and this is something important. I did not expect to start as strong as I have done, but this has always been my main objective: to help the team.”
