Sampdoria striker Fabio Quagliarella reviewed Monday night’s 3-2 away defeat to Inter in an interview with Premium Sport today.

The veteran forward is of the opinion that La Samp “started well” and that they “got back into the game in the second half.”

The former Juventus forward was one of the two Samp goalscorers on the night alongside Dawid Kownacki and was quick to admit that it was “a shame that Samp couldn’t draw level with Inter.”

He also shared who he is tipping for the scudetto between Inter and Napoli: “I think that Napoli are better. Seeing them play is beautiful. They have a spectacular style.”

Quagliarella also admitted that “Over the years, I was close to joining Inter two or three times, but nothing ever materialised.

“It is always nice to be able to join such great teams, but I am happy with my career and what I achieved,” he concluded.
