Inter captain Mauro Icardi stopped by InterTV to share his thoughts on the win against Sampdoria at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milano’s San Siro district.
“Honestly I am very happy for the win. It was a well-played match and we could not risk to draw it. We have to improve on the situations that occurred in the second half, which arose maybe due to fatigue. Hitting the woodwork? Maybe I am not too happy about them [smiles].”
The first hour that encourages the team then the last 20 minutes the alarm bells were ringing?
“We will talk about this tomorrow. We also enjoyed playing the match for 60-70 minutes but in it did not go well towards the end where we risked drawing.”
What effect does it have on you to see you leading the Serie A?
“It is very nice because we know what we are all doing, and we know the objective that we have set for ourselves. We are up there and it is nice even if it is for just one night.”
