Sampdoria Director Daniele Prade spoke with the gathering journalists at San Siro’s mixed zone after the Serie A fixture which saw Inter defeat Sampdoria thanks to a 3-2 narrow win.

“Inter were simply devastating in the first half, they will be there to fight for the title until the end of the season. They’re a team with a strong identity and with a great coach, but Sampdoria was always there.  With 5-10 minutes more we could of drawn the game, they were getting tired. We need to take it game by game and find ways to enforce our game play to these matches, then we can count the points.”

Prade was then asked about former defender Milan Skriniar who was sold to Inter this past summer: “He’s very much missed. I have a strong report with our former players. Same with Vecino and Borja. Skriniar is a strong player and he will only improve.”

Have you spoken in any such manner regarding Torreira by any chance?

“No, at this point its too soon. With the Nerazzurri we have a strong relationship for which we speak often.”
