Joao Miranda: “I want to end my career in Europe”

Miranda is still a supporter of his former side, Sao Paulo, but a return to the Brazilian outfit is not happening anytime during the foreseeable future. The Brazilian defender explained to Desimpedidos the reasons behind his decision:

“I have watched Sao Paulo games and I would have love to wear that jersey again, but it is not happening. I am at Inter now and besides, Sao Paulo have quality players in their roster. I will return one day, maybe as a fan or part of the management but it is very difficult to do so as a player. I want to end my career in Europe. If I were to end it in Brazil then it would surely have beenSao Paulo.”

In conclusion Miranda also talked about his former manager at Atletico Madrid, Diego Simeone stating that: “I grew up tactically with him than under anywhere else. He gave me a lot of confidence.”
