The Argentinian legend who turned 57 on Monday had as always strong words for a lot of people in an interview with outlet Clarin. First in line is current Argentina coach Jorge Sampaoli before moving onto Inter captain Mauro Icardi, and then his wife/agent Wanda Nara.

“In the last two matches Sampaoli called up an injured Icardi, despite having Higuain at his disposal who has always scored, you can not leave out Aguero from the list and call a ‘Pata de lana’.” The term Pata de lana is a derogatory term used to describe men that partake in sexual relationships with women who are already married.

Maradona did not just stop there but explicitly poited out that his use of the term Pata de lana was a clear reference to Icardi stating: “I am talking about the guy with a wife who wants to enter the footballing world and become his agent. The one who plays with the children of Maxi Lopez. I know the story well, his wife Wanda called Bauza three times, called Gerardo Martino four times. I was told this by the same coaches or their assistants, and I do not know how many times Wanda Nara must have called Sampaoli.”

Maradona concluded with attacking another former Inter player: “It is all a disgrace, because there is a player, President and businessman named Juan Sebastian Veron, who decided the list of the players that Sampaoli called up in his first squad selection.”
