Bayern Munich have put up a strong defence against all teams that are reportedly interested in signing Chilean midfielder Arturo Vidal when the transfer window opens in January.

Former Juventus player and current Bayern Munich Sporting Director, Hasan Salihamidzic, has now seemingly shut the door on a possible exit for the former Juventus midfielder stating that “factors off the pitch do not interest us” in an exclusive interview to German outled Bild.

The former Bosnian international continued that “for us, Arturo remains a fundamental player. Heynckes knows him well from his time at Bayer Leverkusen and he knows exactly how to handle him. That is what I will tell him too when I speak to him.”

The Nerazzurri have been rumoured to be very interested in Vidal since the summer and it remains to be seen if they can tempt Bayern with an offer that loosens their tight grip on the player.
