Inter are among a whole host of clubs keeping tabs on Hamburg starlet Tatsuya Ito according to Hamburger Morgenpost. German quartet Freiburg, Augsburg, Mainz and Eintracht Frankfurt as well as Premier League club Manchester City are all also interested in the 20-year-old Japanese attacker.

Ito’s contract at the Volksparkstadion expires at the end of the season and Hamburg have no intentions of losing the youngster who graduated through their youth academy.

Ito, who can play on either wing but primarily as a left winger, has made five appearances for the first team this season since being promoted from HSV’s reserve side Hamburger SV II after seven games. During his time with the reserves he made five assists but has yet to score or assist while with the first team.

The diminutive winger has been with the club since 2015 and Hamburg are understood to be ready to offer him a new contract to ward off the growing interest in his services.
