Argentina national team coach Jorge Sampaoli has named his squad for the upcoming international friendly matches against Russia and Nigeria later on this month.
The Nerazzurri captain has once again been included by the former Sevilla coach whilst Juventus striker, Gonzalo Higuain, has been left out once again despite scoring 3 goals in his last 2 matches against AC Milan in the Serie A as well as against Sporting Lisbon in the Bianconeri’s last Champions League group stage fixture.
The former Napoli striker’s teammate at Juventus, Paolo Dybala has however been included in the 22-man squad which includes former Inter player Ever Banega.
The complete squad:
Goalkeepers: Sergio Romero, Nahuel Guzman, Augustin Marchesin.
Defenders: Javier Mascherano, Federico Fazio, Gabriel Mercado, Nicolas Otamendi, German Pezzella, Emiliano Insua.
Midfielders: Eduardo Salvio, Ever Banega, Marcos Acuña, Ivan Paredes, Emiliano Rigoni, Matias Kranevitter, Alejandro Gomez, Diego Perotti.
Strikers: Lionel Messi, Sergio Aguero, Mauro Icardi, Angel Di Maria, Paulo Dybala.
no doubt why he left out piguain
Sampaoli’s balls of steel tho. It’s not easy to go against a legend like Maradona who takes every opportunity to criticize you and your decision to include Icardi, whom he despises, instead of Piguain.
Not really, the Argentine media was crying for Icardi after their very bad start in the WC qualifiers… and NObody can deny that he is in a better shape than Piguain
eat that mister “so called legend or whatever”.
I guess el heroína de oro gonna inject more of those stuff after this news.
