Sampdoria Sporting Director Daniele Prade spoke to Primocanale about their Uruguayan midfielder Lucas Torreira who has been a revelation so far in this seasons Serie A. The player has reportedly been attracting interest from a number of clubs including Inter.
Prade was asked if there was any truth to the rumors that linked Torreira with a move this comin January to Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid to which he replied: “There is no truth in these rumours, we have not spoken to anyone and besides it is too early to do so just yet.”
“As our President Massimo Ferrero has already said we do not want to sell anyone in January, unless there are some players that are unhappy or not getting much playing time and want to move on, in which case we will do our best to help them find a quick resolution” the former Roma and Fiorentina Sporting Director concluded.
