Zinho Vanheusden In Line For New Inter Contract

Zinho Vanheusden is one of a number of players currently in line for a contract renewal alongside captain Mauro Icardi and Samir Handanovic. Corriere dello Sport report that the highly rated Belgian youngster will soon be handed a new contract by the Inter hierarchy. His current deal expires at the end of the current season.

The 18-year-old central defender is currently spending the majority of his time in the treatment room due to the serious knee injury he sustained while playing for Inter’s Primavera in the UEFA Youth League. At the time of his injury, his father confirmed that talks over a new contract were ongoing.

Vanheusden has yet to debut for the first team but was named on the bench for the first six games of the season prior to his cruciate ligament injury. In the summer, Premier League club Liverpool among others were taking a look at him but Inter blocked all moves.
