Ex Udinese Coach Guidolin: “I Could Have Coached Inter & Juventus”

Former Udinese and Swansea City coach Francesco Guidolin revealed in an interview with Italian radio station Radio Deejay, that he has come really close to coaching Inter and Napoli in the past but that he does not regret never actually being in charge of either club.

“If I had agreed to coach Napoli then Rafael Benitez would never had arrived at the club. Then Sarri came afterwards and it is all different now as Napoli are playing some beautiful football. At that time I wanted to continue at Udinese. When I was 42-43 years old I wanted to coach a great team but it never happened. I have been close to Inter and Juventus in the past but there I have no regrets” Guidolin stated.

In conclusion the outspoken former Palermo coach also spoke about current Inter coach Spalletti and his time at Roma: “It will be difficult for Roma to repeat what they did last year. Spalletti got the most out of  the players there but Di Francesco has shown what he can do.”
