In an interview with Tele Radio Stereo, former Fiorentina and Bayern Munich striker Luca Toni, shared his thoughts on the the teams currently at the top of this seasons Serie A.
“To see five teams within five points at the top of the standings is a great thing. Napoli and Roma both have grown a lot and Juventus is not as strong as they have been the last years, I think we are up for a great championship. A great championship because it is so tight. If Juventus slows down a bit, I think Roma, Inter and Napoli all could fight for the title. To win against Roma and Napoli is a much more difficult thing.”
The former Juventus and Roma striker who was a part of Italy’s 2006 FIFA World Cup winning side concluded that “Di Francesco is doing a great job and has done extremely well taking over from Luciano Spalletti. It would be nice if they could fight for the Scudetto until the end. Playing for the capital club for six months was intense but also a great moment for me in my career. In Roma I saw something magical.”
