Mauro Icardi To Be Fine For Inter-Atalanta

Inter captain Mauro Icardi will have recovered in time to participate in the Nerazzurri’s next fixture with Atalanta on Sunday 19 November.

Gazzetta dello Sport detail that Icardi, who suffered a knock during the 1-1 draw against Torino at the weekend, will undergo 4-5 days of work with Inter’s physio’s and will be back in full training with his teammates at the start of next week.

It was feared that Icardi, who has 11 goals in 12 outings this term for the Nerazzurri, may have been forced to miss the game with the Bergamo club due to having to withdraw from the Argentina squad for this international break. Icardi was named in Jorge Sampaoli’s squad for the friendlies with Russia and Nigeria which take place on Saturday 11 November in Russia then Tuesday 14 November on home soil respectively.

With Icardi to be clear, barring any further injuries, only Zinho Vanheusden will be unavailable to manager Luciano Spalletti for the game against Gian Piero Gasperini’s side in 11 days time.
