Nikola Vlasic’s agent, Tonci Martic, gave an interview to Calciomercato.com regarding his client who left Croatian club Hajduk Split to  joing Everton in the Premier League during this past summer’s transfer market after being courted by a number of European top clubs.

“I can confirm that Inter were very interested in buying the youngster, but sometimes a kid can not go where he wants to. Everton made a better offer for Nikola, both for the player and for the club, spending a lot of money on a very young player.”

Vlasic concluded that “his season has not started as good as we had hoped for, but the kid is trying to take his responsibility and turn this negative period around. Everton believes in him, but at the moment the most important thing is to find out who will be coaching the club, this because it was actually Ronald Koeman who specifically asked for Vlasic.”
