Real Sociedad centre back Íñigo Martinez was linked with a move to Inter all summer, however the move never materialised. The rumors regarding the move have now returned as Inter are still on the lookout for a centre back.
At a press conference, Real Sociedad’s Íñigo Martinez’s discussed the rumors which claim that the defender last summer was very close to joining Inter first and then Barcelona: “On vacation I was very calm, I enjoyed it. I’ve never seen myself move away from Real Sociedad, I’m here and I will stay here until I’m happy and valued.”
However, for the future Martinez shows he does not want to close any door: “I think that sooner or later any player will get offers, that’s where one must decide. Do not ever close the doors, football careers don’t last long and I do not see anything strange if a player wants to leave, no matter what the reason.”
