Inter coach Luciano Spalletti and his Atalanta counterpart have decided to field the following 22 players for tonight’s Serie A fixture at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milano’s San Siro district, with kick-off scheduled for 20.45 CET.
Spalletti has decided to make one change from the team that drew 1-1 against Torino before the international break by choosing Davide Santon ahead of Yuto Nagatomo in left-back. Aside from that it is an expected Inter line-up where Ivan Perisic and Antonio Candreva play on each side of captain Mauro Icardi up front.

I think it also has to do with the fact that he practically has no game time under his belt.. he may not be the same player he was before but definitely better than what we are seeing on the pitch today…another reason we need to introduce the B team concept in Serie A so that reserves/rotation players has a proper outlet to keep fit…

Dalbert for Santon would be a good call at the start of the second half…would also take out one of Valero or Gagliardini and bring our Joao Mario…probably Valero as think he tends to fade away and looses possession too often in physical games like this one…
our only clear chance was from valero creativity though..
True..but is one clear cut opportunity worth turning over possession multiple times to give the opponents opportunities? I’d only keep him on because there’s only jm who has anything close to the creativity he has.

losing the midfield battle and he is the main culprit…if we retain possession more I think we will automatically create more chances with or without him…plus lets not forget despite being a bit part player this season Joao Mario already has 3 assists which are 3 more than Valero…I like Valero for games against top teams where he helps bring sanity to the midfield and help retain possession but in a game like this his lack of physicality really hurts…
It’s more than midfield battle.. Atalnta is playing 3-5-2 and they have more numbers in that battle. We should use our fullbacks to press but we are not cause they are shit

I agree. Dalbert is currently our best LB. He had bad 10 mins against Udinese and looks like Spaletti was looking for an excuse to completely neglect him.

Be patient…this has 3 points to inter all over it…looks like a bit of international hangover but you’re right about the creativity though…vecino isn’t creative and neither is gagli ..so maybe we’d see jm in the 2nd half preferably for gagli having come off the international break with a goal hopefully he can come on and make a difference.
My only concern is why the absolute insistence on Gaglia as a starter when in the last few games Gaglia has always been the missing piece..and in particularly offensive and creative games?
