Inter are not alone in courting Jiangsu Suning’s Ramires according to reports coming out of Spain.

According to El Gol Digital, Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid are also interested in signing the Brazilian midfielder who previously played for Premier League club Chelsea.

Simeone is understood to want Ramires due to his versality with Ramires able to play in central midfield, defensive midfield and even attacking midfield if required.

Inter and Jiangsu Suning are both owned by the Suning Group and it has been reported in Italian media that the 30-year-old could join the Nerazzurri on loan in January similarly to how Trent Sainsbury joined Inter last January. It is a financial fair play friendly move for the Nerazzurri who have to be careful with their spending to avoid any more sanctions from European football’s governing body UEFA.

Ramires joined Jiangsu back in 2016 and made a total of 32 appearances last term for the Chinese Super League outfit amassing 11 goals and four assists during that time.
