Inter captain Mauro Icardi has scored just three goals away from the Giuseppe Meazza this season and it is now over two months since he last found the net away from home Corriere dello Sport detail.

There is still much time for him to equal his personal record of 22 goals – which won him the Capocannoniere award back in the 2014/15 season – with little over five months of the season remaining. The 24-year-old will no doubt be hoping he can put an end to his away goal drought sooner rather than later.

Icardi’s last away goal game against Bologna back on match day five and before that it was a brace in the 3-1 win against Roma at the Stadio Olimpico on match day two.

The Argentine is currently only behind Ciro Immobile in the capocannoniere chart with 13 goals, two shy of Immobile. His brace against Atalanta at the weekend lifted him above Paulo Dybala who is now in third place with 12 goals.
