Inter’s Italian international midfielder Roberto Gagliardini was interviewed by Premium Sport after the first 45 minutes at the Sardegna Arena which the Nerazzurri lead by one goal to nil after Mauro Icardi got on the end of a Ivan Perisic pass.

Cagliari have been dominating for most of the half and would have been a goal down if it had not been for a miraculous save by Samir Handanovic. Inter have struggled to create anything when going forward and the goal came via Inter’s very first shot on target.

The former Atalanta midfielder stated that “we are not being able to play like we usually do. We have to pay much more attention to be able to score the second goal. It is extremely important to win tonight.”

Argentinian striker Mauro Icardi’s fourteenth goal in as many Serie A matches is what separates the two teams after the first half in Sardinia.
