Inter management are in contact with the agent of Cagliari midfielder Nicolo Barella according to reports.

Tuttosport report that the Nerazzurri’s sporting director Piero Ausilio has spoken with Alessandro Beltrami who represents the 20-year-old and had the opportunity to do so on Saturday when the two sides locked horns at the Sardegna Arena where Inter ran out 3-1 winners.

The Rosoblu management have put a €20 million price tag on the academy graduate but could accept a lesser offer should an interested party offer a player(s) as part of a deal.

Barella, an Italian youth international, has been on Inter’s radar for quite some time and was closely watched during Saturday’s aforementioned affair. He fits Inter’s owners Suning’s blueprint for the club being both young and Italian.

This term he has featured in every game for Diego Lopez’s side finding the net twice in the process. He is under contract with his boyhood club for a further four years through to 2021.
