With Joao Miranda suspended, Inter manager Luciano Spalletti will be forced to change his centre back pairing for the first time this season for this weekend’s match with Chievo Verona.

Premium Sport report that Andrea Ranocchia is the front runner to replace the Brazilian and partner Milan Skriniar at the back.

Ranocchia would be granted his first start of the campaign where he has managed just five minutes of action due to the solid partnership that Miranda and Skriniar have formed since the Slovakian arrived at the club in the summer.

However, they further report that full back Danilo D’Ambrosio could instead be used as a central defender. Should this be the case, Yuto Nagatomo will play at right back in his place.

The Nerazzurri play host to the Flying Donkeys this Sunday with kick off scheduled for 14:00 local time. The Nerazzurri currently find themselves second in the table and are 16 points ahead of their opposition on Sunday who are in ninth themselves.
