Two summers ago, Andrea Ranocchia was going through a particularly difficult moment in his career where the central defender from Umbria had lost all self confidence as well as being subjected to alot of criticism and almost fell into depression.
Then he met Stefano Tirelli, a professor from in Complementary Sports Techniques, which resulted in an upturn for the former Hull City defender. Tirelli gave an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport explaining the rebirth of Andrea Ranocchia.
What kind of work do you do together?
“We started off talking about the boy they call the Frog, it was especially important to find that smile again, then we started talking about Ranocchia as an athlete and player.”
How much has the experiences of the Premier League and meeting Spalletti changed Ranocchia?
“I have worked for Chelsea and using my experience I persuaded him to to try a different type of football in which he fought for respect in comparison to others. He loves Spalletti, he says Inter have finally found a proper football coach.”
How was Andrea in the last meeting?
“He is feeling well up for it and ready, he has a new desire because he has not been able to play much in months. he knows that this is due to suspensions but he is very attached to Inter”
The mental coach whatever gave him a lot of blah blah blah about believing in oneself ,so that when he comes in the field he can be his usual slowest and most mistake prone defender in Serie A , but with a positive attitude toward himself.
once upon a time ranocchia was a beast, when he and jesus flanked samuel in stramaccioni’s inter.
once upon a time he was the hottest prospect in italian football.

whats good for him is good for inter, and since he is our only back-up he needs all of us to believe in him. he is wearing the black and blue for fuck’s sake if you hate him support his shirt!!

The only reason he did not leave us in summer is that nobody wanted him in premier or serie A or he didn’t accept certain destinations he didn’t like,like Russia.

These ” mental coaches “,with their mumble jumble and mantras about nothing to be constantly repeated to oneself , have been around football for decades and they produce ZERO, that’s the bottom line.
I always defend Inter players..Ranocchia,,sorry but he has surpassed any level where one could possibly find a reason to defend him in our team.
With his top player ,2.8 m a year and his unwillingness to go try any different destinations and put himself in play..

Are you for real bro? Mental aspect is even more important than physic. Mental down, you lose even before you stand on the ground. Great manager is the one who can motivate his players say like mourinho and this spalletti. Sometimes, the only problem of a potential player is mentality. And you say mental coach is useless? Hmm but yeah alright it’s your opinion.
Ranocchia has not even cost us anything this season, and he’s our only back up this season. Wisest thing to do is to support him, not to bash on him.
Spalletti ” trust and confidence ” work ,united with hard and smart tactical and phisycal work of course , is totally fine.

if you quit on the players, better don’t be a supporter. we don’t know what else is in these players’ life ecept what is on the field. what they need is a caring and steady hand from the coaches to direct them.

I have always ..ALWAYS believed and strongly supported Candreva ,Nagatomo, Brozovic ..SANTON.. always defended Valero , Miranda.. Icardi when under criticisms ,recently or during the years ..always..ALL OF THEM.
With Ranocchia I have to make an exception.
I find incredible that we are playing a decisive game where we could go on top of the league with him.
