In the upcoming January transfer window, Valencia could possibly recall Joao Cancelo from his loan spell with Inter according to a report from Spain.
Cope report that during the recent meeting between the clubs manager Marcelino, directors and club owner Peter Lim that the transfer budget for the next window was decided upon. The idea of recalling Joao Cancelo was also spoken about.
The Portuguese full back arrived at Inter on a season long loan deal that sent Inter’s Geoffrey Kondogbia the other way in the summer but has found opportunities limited. The 23-year-old Portuguese international has saw just 47 minutes of action in Nerazzurri this term across five games played.
Cancelo would unlikely be against the decision due to the fact regular play time helps keep him in the limelight with regards to staying in the national team especially with the World Cup next summer.
It is by no means an easy move for Valencia due to the fact that Inter have an option to redeem him on a permanent basis until June.
was it a dry loan? or Kondog’s loan was at exact same agreement with this one?
Did we pay amount of $ for that loan?
I believe its a two way dry loan but both parties cant recall without consent because of the option to redeem.
I actually think ending the loan early may sense for Inter as well given we aren’t really using him much and think between Santon, Dalbert, Nagatomo and D’Ambrosio we got full back position covered and with Verdi potentially coming in January he isn’t really needed as cover for right-wing.
Ok, but they should pay first
This makes zero sense.
Of course they can’t just “recall him ” without our agreement ,no more than we can just recall Kondo.
To be honest Concelo hasn’t showed a thing in the games he has played. As a winger I would rather se more of Karamoh than him and as a full back he seems to be not good enoug – that´s why he was played both at Valencia and by Spalla as a winger!
Spot on! Such a shame we have only been given a peek of Karamoh’s abilities. But with Candreva playing good, it’s a safer choice. Still hope to see Karamoh against Chievo if we can close it in first half.
Well that would be hard, as we tend to close games in the second half, as Spaletti adjusts his style in the match to finish it.
Yes, you are right. That’s why I wrote “if we can close it in first half”. But we will likely have to wait, like you suggest. Hope you are wrong though and we get a huge win with time given for the talented prospects 🙂
