D’Ambrosio: “I Hope To Get Another 100 Inter Apperances”

Inter full back Danilo D’Ambrosio previewed the Nerazzurri’s game with Chievo Verona on Sunday afternoon in an interview with Sky Sport.

“Victories help us to build a winning mentality. This season we are achieving results with Luciano ISpalletti because he is doing psychological work on the team. When you get good results, those who come in to the team can benefit from the overall form of the side. Whether we play or not, we all train to the max.”

D’Ambrosio recently made his 100th appearance for Inter and shared some of the feelings he had on reaching such a milestone.

“I don’t like to make long-term plans, but prefer to focus on improving every day. That kind of consistency allowed me to reach 100 games with this glorious shirt and I hope to get another 100.”

The Italian international proceeded to discuss the current team he is part of.

“In a great team, you need two players for every role and so I never felt that my position was in doubt, as such. I also played as a centre-back in my career and Spalletti thinks I can do it again. Inter spent well on the market and can now reap the rewards.

“It’s true that we are a very physical side with many tall players. We’re also aggressive and don’t want to concede on set plays.”

The 29-year-old concluded by sharing what Inter’s objectives for the season are.

“Our objective for now is to qualify for the Champions League.
