Joao Mario & Brozovic To Get First Inter Starts In Months

Joao Mario will make his first Inter start in two and a half months this Sunday when Inter welcome Chievo Verona to San Siro according to Gazzetta dello Sport and Corriere dello Sport.

An injury to Matias Vecino and Roberto Gagliardini has forced Nerazzurri manager Luciano Spalletti in to changing things up in the midfield.

Joao Mario will occupy the role of trequartista, replacing Borja Valero in that role with the Spaniard dropping back to play in the midfield two. Valero will be accompanied by Marcelo Brozovic in the midfield who will be making his first start since match day seven.

With Joao Miranda suspended also, Spalletti is having to switch things up at the back and Andrea Ranocchia will come in and replace the Brazilian. Davide Santon is also expected to remain in the starting lineup and will make his 100th appearance in the process.

INTER (4-2-3-1): Handanovic; D’Ambrosio, Skriniar, Ranocchia, Santon; Borja Valero, Brozovic; Candreva, Joao Mario, Perisic; Icardi.
