Former Italian footballer Gianfranco Zola spoke on Inter’s chances of winning the scudetto this season in an interview with Corriere dello Sport earlier today.

“Since last year I have been saying that Inter are a good team and with Spalletti they have found the continuity that they needed [to be able to compete]. Inter are very pragmatic, they know what they want and can stay fighting to the end.”

The former Cagliari player and manager then spoke on the future of Nicolo Barella, who has come in to links with Inter recently.

“I know him well because I started him in a Coppa Italia match against Parma when I was manager. He has a fantastic future ahead of him because he knows how to play football. He has enormous intelligence and he can grow physically too. He will be at one of the top clubs in the world in the future.”
