Inter’s former captain, central defender Andrea Ranocchia spoke to Sky Sport after contributing to Inter’s 5-0 win against Chievo which was first start of the season. The Italian defender discussed the impact of coach Spalletti and looks forward to the clash with Juventus next week:

“I am happy for my personal as well as the team’s performance, it was a beautiful day, Spalletti has great merit in all of this, we always make sure that we are ready. The coach treats everyone in the same way, it is one of his qualities” Ranocchia began.

The former Genoa defender then continued that: “the match against Juventus will be tough, but football is strange, we have to play against Juventus just as we have in the last few matches, they are very strong but we have to prepare it like all the others.”

In conclusion Ranocchia spoke about the the difficulties he’s faces these past few seasons: “on a personal level, over the years many things have happened to me, I personally have experienced ups and downs but my strength has always been to work hard, I never gave up and today I have to thank all the fans who applauded my every move. With this team we must reach the top and then we will see on a personal level.”
