Evaristo Beccalossi heaped praise on Inter manager Luciano Spalletti for the work he has carried out since becoming Inter boss in the summer.
“The Inter of today is down to Luciano Spalletti, he is a real phenomenon. Taking Inter to first place was not done by chance, Spalletti has done an extraordinary job on the mental side of things with players. Everyone considered players like Davide Santon, Danilo D’Ambrosio and Yuto Nagatomo finished [before Spalletti arrived].
Beccalossi then spoke on club captain Mauro Icardi.
“The absolute champion of the team is Icardi, but behind him there is a tough team.”
The former Inter midfielder concluded the interview by talking on the scudetto and Saturday’s Derby D’Italia.
Napoli are still the favourite and then there’s Juventus and also Roma, who is quietly having a great season. Anything can happen though and Saturday’s match [the Derby D’Italia] will not be decisive for the Scudetto.”
