Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon is set to miss his side’s clash with Inter in the Derby D’Italia tomorrow according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
The veteran shot stopper has missed the Bianconeri’s past two fixtures and despite returning to training, the game has come too soon for him and Gazzetta further suggest he has just a 10% chance of making it. As a result, Wojeich Szczesny will be tasked with keeping leading Serie A goalscorer Mauro Icardi out at the Allianz Stadium tomorrow night.
While Juventus have been dealt a blow with Buffon’s absence, manager Max Allegri receives a boost with no less than three players fit and available following injuries. Giorgio Chiellini and Mehdi Benatia will both return and form the Bianconeri’s centre back pairing. Moreover, forward Mario Mandzukic will be back in the starting lineup having made the bench for their Champions League win over Olympiacos on Tuesday night.
JUVENTUS (4-2-3-1): Szczesny; De Sciglio, Benatia, Chiellini, Asamoah; Pjanic, Khedira; Cuadrado, Dybala, Mandzukic; Higuain.
