Former Inter and Juventus midfielder Felipe Melo previewed Saturday night’s Derby D’Italia.

“I could never speak ill of Juventus, but Inter is something else, I have these colours in my heart, I do not have to ask myself who I will be supporting.

“Inter come in to this game first in the standings, unbeaten and with so many certainties. If they leave unscathed,  Spalletti will have everything to aim for the Scudetto with determination.

“Who can win the derby? Perisic and Icardi on one side, Dybala and Higuain on the other, but Inter must be wary of Pjanic too.”

Mauro has got the supporters back on his side, he is a real player, he is always decisive. and the words on Real are very beautiful

The Brazilian central midfielder then reflected on his time with Inter.

“The first season with the Nerazzurri was positive, the derby we won is unforgettable. Roberto Mancini’s goodbye was tough, with him we would certainly have made it to the Champions League.

“You can not choose a manager, in Frank de Boer, who does not speak the language. The second season started badly because of this.

Melo concluded discussing the race for the scudetto this season.

“Several clubs are favourites to win the scudetto, while it is different abroad, where only one or two teams are.”
