Pordenone manager Leonardo Colucci has insisted it is time for his side “to go back to the real world” after their fairy-tale Coppa Italia run was put to an end by Inter on Monday night.

“It was nice to put them in some difficulty,” Colucci said on radio show Tutto Convocati.

“The congratulations are fine, but I told the guys to raise their heads because they were crying. The run is over but I told them that many can reach those levels but now let’s go back to the real world.”

Colucci then spoke on the Inter side that his Neroverdi were faced with.

“Eder and  Roberto Gagliardini are national team players while Milan Skriniar and Andrea Ranocchia are both strong. Most of Inter’s second string would be starters nearly everywhere else.”

Colucci concluded by revealing what his opposite number Luciano Spalletti told him post match.

“Spalletti told me that we deserved to progress in the Coppa.”
