Inter’s Slovenian goalkeeper Samir Handanovic was interviewed during the Matchday Programme which is accessable only for those with a subscription ahead of today’s Serie A fixture at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milano’s San Siro district against his former club Udinese.

Handanovic began by highlighting the support from the fans stating that: “the enthusiasm from the fans is overwhelming. San Siro is special, when I used to come here as an opposition player the atmosphere was incredible.”

The former Udinese goalkeeper then spoke about the move to Inter saying: “when I made the transfer from Udinese to Inter I was happy, it was emotional to arrive at Inter. Everything has changed since Spalletti has arrived, our great defence is not only the merit of the four at the back but thanks to the whole team. We are doing really well but we can still improve.”

In conclusion Handanovic stated that: “I created my Instagram account to have some fun and it is a way to try new things and to stay on contact with others. We don’t need to set goals for ourselves, we don’t need to limit ourselves. We have to still improve as a team and as individuals. Our daily objective should be this.”
