Inter sporting director Piero Ausilo will meet with the relevant members of the Atalanta leadership before the year end to formalise an agreement which will see Alessandro Bastoni arrive in January Tuttosport detail.
The 18-year-old central defender joined the Nerazzurri in the summer from Atalanta but was instantly loaned back to La Dea on a two-year loan to continue his development at the disposal of Gian Piero Gasperini.
Bastoni will provide cover for what is a poorly covered area in the Inter squad, central defence. Luciano Spalletti started the season with four central defender but that was reduced to just three a few weeks in to the season as young defender Zinho Vanheusden picked up a long term injury during Primavera duty.
The Italian youth international has found regular first team opportunities very hard to come by, making just one appearance this season despite being a regular feature on the bench. He has however found regular playtime at Primavera level.
