Former Inter and Argentinian international midfielder Esteban Cambiasso, is a pundit  on Sky Sport Italia where he spoke about his time at Inter and in particular the treble winning season: “The triplete season was born just like any other, it is not something you imagine happening at the start of the season. You build it step by step, sometimes what you think is the most important match is actually not. I was more scared of the team who was last in the league like Siena, rather than in the Champions League final. The real skill is the ability to immediately forget victories, if you continue to hold on to what you have done, you can’t continue progressing and we understood that we could do something important that season and we immediately thought about the next game.”

The Argentine former Real Madrid player then discussed the squad Inter had in that treble winning season and explained his reasoning behind joining Leicester City: “The secret was that the club, coach and the players were all unified as one entity. Moratti dreamed of this happening for years and would have done everything to make it happen. That squad had the perfect mix of players, players that were already important at Inter at a national level, some who arrived from small teams like Milito and Thiago Motta and others that were considered rejects by other teams like Eto’o, Lucio, Sneijder, and then Mourinho, who had more experience than everyone: this is how the perfect mix was born. At the end of my career after playing in Argentina, Spain and Inter the only thing missing was the Premier League, Leicester were the ones who wanted me the most, they were waiting for me and it was one of the most positive years of my career.”
