Inter & Paris Saint-Germain Working On Pastore – Joao Mario Swap

Milano based Gazzetta dello Sport report that talks between Inter and Paris Saint-Germain have been ongoing for weeks now to bring Argentinian playmaker Javier Pastore to Milano whilst Portuguese international midfielder Joao Mario goes in the opposite direction.

According to the report, Joao Mario, who Inter paid around €40 million to sign two summer ago, wants first team football and is open to making the move to the French capital club who are also keen on bringing him to Paris. The Nerazzurri have realized that they will never recuperate anything near the €40 million they paid for Joao Mario, let alone make any profit on his transfer but are also aware that they can still cash in on him or utilize him in a player-swap deal to strengthen the squad.

Any other incoming transfers concerning cash are impossible for the Nerazzurri unless they cash in on Brozovic, Karamoh, Eder or even Pinamonti, which cools down the rumours regarding Mkhitaryan. According to the Gazzetta Mourinho has declined a swap deal involving Joao Mario and Mkhitaryan who is also a non-EU player which makes him an alternative to Ramires who although playing in a much deeper position in midfield, is also a non-EU player but an option that Inter prefer.

Sabatini and Ausilio continue to monitor Bologna’s Italian winger Simone Verdi who is very much liked by the Nerazzurri whilst former AC Milan player and current Barcelona winger Gerard Deulofeu is for now merely an idea.
